![]() They "popped" back to normal with a dab of brakes however it did not make for a comfortable start with a "don't know if it's airworthy" aircraft. It was hard to see that while inflating the glider for takeoff, especially that there were light wind days. On flights 3 and 4 I noticed that 4-5 cells have deformed leading edges like in the pictures previously posted. On the second flight I beat my personal record by 30% and it's only the glider to blame. I am also happy owner of M7: extraordinary glider. Posted: Mon 7:03 UTC Post subject: 4-5 cells - deformed leading edge Huge thanks to Ozone for keeping us informed. I'm really looking forward to getting mine, soon as this issue gets resolved. This may be due to increasing in length secondary to moisture, a mistake in QC, or improper packing method. My uneducated guess is that the bottom surface rods have warped slightly. Posted: Fri 15:39 UTC Post subject: RE: Ozone / Mantra M7 (EN D) I'm surprised the difference I experienced between the 6 and 7. Anyone else experience similar characteristics? Perhaps I'll have to increase my takeoff weight for the M7. I'm sure I'll be happy, but I have one glaring difference.įor same takeoff weight on M6 and M7, I had a significant number of tip collapses on M7 that would stick until a good brake pump was initiated. The C-steering was much lighter than the loops on the M6. Generally speaking, the M7 was no major departure from the M6.perhaps lighter on brakes. I've had my first true flight on the M7 ML yesterday. Posted: Wed 16:59 UTC Post subject: Tip Collapses ![]() Need many strong brake pulls to get it sorted. I have had this problem now twice.both times being in towing. ![]() Was someone missing good photos of this problem? Posted: Mon 19:30 UTC Post subject: RE: Ozone / Mantra M7 (EN D) Many thanks in advance - and also I need the serial number of your glider. We have received one of the first wings with the problem in the office, which is currently under investigation.Īmir : could you send me photos of the warped plastic rods please, in good definition if possible. In case they didn't get the PM and they reading this, could they please forward their serial numbers. We are working on the case, I have asked the pilots who have posted photos of their gliders here to provide me with the serial number of their wings to help our investigations, but no reply so far.
